EJ Parker Engineering Services offered free health and safety in the workplace training. The training was delivered by Health and Safety Manager Callum Tunstall in partnership with Bedrock Basics, to local charities and not-for-profits including Howgill Family Centre, Age UK West Cumbria and Freedom Project West Cumbria. Callum said: “Health and safety training should always be carried out. Everyone deserves to be safe at work.” The firm also delivered one to one project management mentoring via Timebank. Anne Marie Melvin, Security and Office Manager, said: “Our project managers have a wealth of knowledge to pass on. We are mentoring Claire Bryant the Outdoor Activities Development Officer for The Outdoor Partnership on all areas of project management. The team was asked to review the website of the West Cumbria Mental Health Partnership to make it more user friendly. They suggested improvements such as streamlining the events search and highlighting the ‘crisis help’ section. One of the reviewers said: “This is a very useful and easy to use website. I will now be using it when signposting for local support.”
